That looks like fun, although the track is really not adapted to karts. I would prefer a twistier track myself with less straights for a kart.

Hadn't seen the Transit Supervan before - so that's where Renault got their idea for the Espace F1!

Yeah, those guys are completely nuts! I got to know John McGuinness a few year's back at a BSB race at Cadwell Park. Nice calm family guy, who you would never imagine is such a complete nutter on these road races.

The return of "Load Music"...!Revs wrote:turn it up load...
Awesome - the sound bouncing off the hillsides...!
I was a bit disappointed to start with, in all honesty.
Apart from the sound, the actually camera coverage was less-than joined-up. I couldn't get any feel for the "circuit / track / stage".
Fortunately, we then get the stage from on-board, and...
...bugger - the outside view is washed-out by the camera being set for the low-light of the cockpit.
BUT - you can see the driver's actions.
No left-foot braking (perhaps it isn't a necessary discipline in this genre?).
So, some great heel-&-toe action instead.
At the risk of sounding ungrateful Revs, as a visual experience, it's not stellar.
However, as a "Load Music" track, it's a winner.

When drivers were fat and tyres were skinny...
What's with those gear shifts...? Two-ratio box perhaps, something like a heavy truck - s'trewth.

Re: A Little Something For DeadCat
drifting a v8supercar
fwiw last night i raced door to door and more with Shane, Owen Kelly and Scott McLachlan on Iracing (these guys are current V8supercars drivers)... they rocked up with 5mins to go in qualifying and Shane pipped my time for pole, and Scott and Owen lined up right behind me... Shane ended up taking me out grievously, the lot of them are as ruff as guts ontrack, but it was briliant racing) with a love tap into the inside grass as i tried to pass him (for the 4th time, and again) and my front end finally gave up... was absolutely awesome fun racing though... but the boy has skills!
EDIT - lol, at one stage in the middle of the race he says, "if dont have room, you've gotta make room, don'ya?" as opposed to being gently introduced to the verge of the grass under braking! lol - bloody awesome fun! seriously!
