I am always amazed how somebody can drive that fast on such narrow roads...

I suspect that they might have driven the road before.
And having no one guaranteed to be coming the other way is also a bit of a bonus... Very Happy

That's a way-long first gear though...even with clutch-slip and the HB turns.

The main thing about going fast is believing that you won't crash, or not caring if you do.

I've seen a lot of people come out to the track and get fast pretty quick. Then they have a crash. 40% never came back after their injuries, 50% were never as fast, and for 10% it was like it never happened. Didn't matter if it was cars or bikes.
