Singapore 2009, a break from all the F1 BS
Well, this year there is no Piquet to crash. And no Flabbio or pat S. to ask him to.
There is still a Maxhole in charge, and the lights will bring the "show" to the continents at their 'normal' time slot.
Predictions- Lewis on pole very light, Rubens, then Button heavy who will get crashed out giving Rubens the win and tightening up the championship to increase viewership. Webber second, for no apparent reason, Hamilton third, again, for no reason.
Probably all the above will prove to be bollocks.

Grosjean had a little practice crash in FP1 at Piquet corner, ahead of the main event... http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/090925142008.shtml
At least he has a decent excuse prepared - food poisoning...
A helmet full of Minestrone, in "Days Of Chunder" styleƩ perhaps...?
Predictions: Rubens' gearbox is still an issue, but worth the punt for the win. RBR will qually well but fade in the race with tyre graining. Lewis will crash. Alonso will blow an engine.
Or not.

You will be a brave man to bet on Ruben, a 5 place penalty is bad news on a no overtaking track like Singapore.
Lewis and his useless team-mate for a 1 2 finish.

Yup DB. Got that piece of info just in time, and went for Lewis and Vettel, McLaren and Brawn.Danny Boy wrote:You will be a brave man to bet on Ruben, a 5 place penalty is bad news on a no overtaking track like Singapore.

I bottled swapping my Brawn Engine for an RBR as I reckoned Webber wouldn't do any good around Singapore - and Ross would mastermind a come-back during the race. What a dunce...!
And I didn't anticipate such a disastrous qually for Brawn...!
Just started a rumour on the other site that Rubens crashed on purpose...LOL!

If Rubens comes out with the heaviest fuel load, you will be right, don't forget Brawn was in charge when M$ took out Damon Hill and J V, as well as the Monaco shunt in qualifying.

Yawn. Sorry, I don't like the track. Filthy and obviously not good for the cars if their brakes can't hold out for the distance. No place to pass... why do they have this race again?

Amazing how fast all the ING branding disappeared from team Renault. I wonder what it cosats to get all new pit crew uniforms on 2 days notice.
Otherwise, pretty lackluster. Button, when was the last time he podium'ed?

How come whenever a driver /team needs a great performance it shows up.
I think the fix is in on the whole series.
Timo Glock??? Are you kidding me??

Yes - I did rather well. Up to 45th...!Srrh wrote:Good for Louis...
Lewis helped of course - but I'll take the credit...
Meanwhile, back at the ranch - Kimi to Mac / Nando to Ferrari / Rosberg to Brawn / Rubens to Willy's...
Where will it all end...?
