40 years ago today

The Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior with all hands lost and their bodies never found.

Quite amazing that we get the sort of sea conditions that sank that boat (and many more over the years) on an inland sea.

Anyway, this is a haunting tribute to those men as sung by Gordon Lightfoot.

I have never heard about this story before, but it seems very interesting. Now I will have to read up on it all....
