I am not sure what I am the most excited about, the MotoGP race or the the new Moto2 race.

For sure, the MotoGP is going to be fun to watch. How will Ben do, will Stoner dominate or will Rossi still be up there? How about Lorenzo and Pedrosa? Will Dovi finally start showing his true potential?

But the Moto2 is so full of unknowns, and has so much potential.

FP1

Stoner was stunningly faster.

Pedrobot was stunningly slow.

Rossi was miffed that Jorge pipped him.


It was nice to see M2 was quicker than WSS.

It does look like Stoner will run away with this one...again!

I had a look at the Moto2 practice, and it is great to see so many bikes out on track. Looking at all the names of riders in there it is a fabulous mix, and I expect there to be some serious fighting. The only thing that surprised me was how relatively fat the rear tire was on the Moto2 bikes.

However, the whole nightrace thing does not do it for me.

Jeeeez....I'm so excited about the race tomorrow...

It is going to be awesome. Well...maybe the race for second, I'm guessing that Stoner puts his head down and checks out, but 3rd thru 11th were ultra close in Q...

Yeah, Stoner looks set to take off. But, I would never count out Rossi and Lorenzo going for it. I was a bit disappointed with Ben's position though. As to Randy, he has often been quick in qualifying (he can ride!) I am just hoping that he will be able to keep it up in the race for a change!! I would love for him to be the best placed Honda at the end of the race.

Still, I am so excited about the Moto2! Wait until you see 41 bikes lined up, going for turn 1! It is going to be awesome!!! What craks me up too is that you take a bike with a "standard" and controlled 600cc, and they are only some 5 or 6 seconds behind the MotoGP bikes on a track that is fast. Imagine at Sachsenring, the Moto2 bikes will probably be faster than the MotoGP bikes! I really think this might be the right direction to bring down costs and improve on interest. We shall see later today...

How good was that race? Brilliant start, with Pedrosa a bit all over the place. Then Stoner getting by, and trying to take off in to the distance. I think he was just pushing too hard, kind of like last year when he would try to get away from Rossi, then as the gap was not really increasing he would lose it. Rossi then looking like he couldn't get away from the pack, but probably just conserving his tires for the end.

I was so happy to see Hayden fight it out in the front too. His two passes on Dovi in the last few laos were brilliant, and then Lorenzo sticking it up the inside of Dovi as well. Man, those last few laps looked more like a 125 race!

And then there was Spies, running an extremely intelligent race. However Randy was probably the biggest surprise as he held on to Spies until the end, not making any mistakes and taking a well deserved 6th place.

Then there was the Moto2 race. I didn't get to see the whole race as they only showed about 10 minutes here, but it does look very promising!

yeah, Rossi wouldve been all over Stoner at the end i reckon... gapped the othe guys consumately in the last few laps... and great ride from spies, hayden and lorenzo!

Not a bad race. Why is Nicky doing so well? I figured he would struggle again this year.
