Grand Prix of Catalunya
Another Stoner pole with Lorenzo close behind. Wasn't an exciting session at all, probably the most tame I've seen in quite some time.

Re: Grand Prix of Catalunya
I don't actually watch the qualy (except for if I am at the track!), and didn't see this either.
I am expecting Luthi to do well in the Moto2 as this is a track he is usually good at. Hope he can keep up the winning and properly challenge Marquez!

Come on Ben. Do something.
I keep hearing people say....Ohhhhhh Stoner didn't win last round, he wasn't on top of every session this weekend...since his retirement announcement he's not the same. He's phoning it in.
Great job putting it on the top step.
I've always like Cal btw...I'd really like to see him get a win. Highly unlikely...but it would be great to see.

How can you not like Cal? He's the typical British BSB racer!
If you want some entertainment, watch a BSB race! Remember Hoppers there last year...

Cal's superbike ride at Silverstone a few years ago....where I think he won both races on the R1 was amazing. He rode that R1 like it was a 600!

Re: Grand Prix of Catalunya
Yeah that was bad! He obviously had the pace for the podium today, and he goes and throws it away like that. The rest of the race was a bit ho-hum, with not all that much going on.
Moto2 was good. With Iannone taking the lead I was worried he would run away with it. Luckily that did not happen and we had some good fights. Then Marquez had his moment, went wide and then turned back in only to hit Espargaro. Looked like a nasty fall for Pol, but luckily he was not hurt in the crash.
To me it was another race incident, but after investigating the event the stewards issued a 60 second penalty to Marquez, placing him 23rd. His team appealed and the penalty was removed as a result. It is true that Marquez is starting to rack up the incidents and perhaps he should cool down a bit before somebody is seriously hurt.
Moto3 was also good, and I was happy to see Fenati be able to make his way back up to near the front.

I'm not a fan as such of Spies but was gutted he made that mistake. I know it was only 2/3 laps in but he really looked to be taking it to the leaders.
I was perplexed by Stoner's pace, or lack there of. Not even able to keep Dovi in check. Great ride by Dovi though.
Moto2 was a great race yet again. Surprised Iannone held on, I thought Marquez has his much but his little mistake shot his chance to pieces. Awful crash with Pol, thankfully unscathed. Felt sorry for him and he was balling his eyes out after the race.
Moto3 was incredible, a huge gaggle of riders all battling for position - I literally did not know which rider to focus on coming into the turn 1 braking zone, crazy stuff. After Fenati went wide on turn 1 and slipping back to 19th (I think) he rode well to make it back up to 9th. Thought he may have pipped a few in the pack but it was so volatile that I'm happy he just stayed upright and retained his P4 in the championship.
