Lorenzo to Ducati?

I just heard it.

I was told an agreement was reached in principle for Lorenzo to race for 2 years for Ducati.

I was also told Nicky Hayden is pissed.

This rumor came out of all places.....Kentucky....Where Nicky is from.

If Lorenzo is gone to Duc I wonder how quickly we will hear about The Ben, Colin, Toseland, Hopper, Nicky, and Camier.

Yeah I heard it too from a Spanish site. They were saying also that Nicky should get Jorge's Yamaha, which in my mind should be a good thing for Nicky. If not, the fact that Lorenzo would be the second highest paid rider after Vale should be reason enough to piss off Nicky.

It seems it will all be official for Indy.

I would be absolutely ecstatic if Nicky landed at Fiat Yamaha...not because I think he could take the fight to Vale...we already know that is almost impossible...but I'd like to see him get in between the Repsol Honda's to give Vale some breathing room, and keep the seat warm for the Ben.

I'm just starting to realize how much I want Jorge to move from Fiat Yamaha.

The intrigue will be amazing for 2010 if he leaves...Nicky moves to Fiat....The Ben ends up at Tech 3....Bautista, Simoncelli, Barbera....My god the first race will be a damn free for all!

Slow down there a second! The 2009 season isn't over yet, even if it does seem like Rossi has it in the bag.

But yeah, we could have an even more eciting season. I suppose the only downside is that I would miss the Ben in SBK.

These long summer breaks mess with me.

I keep getting the feeling that The Ben is going to be in WSBK next year....which is the opposite of what I am hearing.

Did you pick up the smack about Pedrosa won't sign a contract with out a Puig clause? It seems that Yamaha already said NO to that...and now Honda is also saying Puig should hit the road.

No, I haven't heard anything about Puig. But, I am not surprised. He has been trying to run HRC for Pedrosa for too long now, and I would say it is time he goes.

Would be interesting how Pedrosa would evolve without him though.

I think it's common knowledge that Pedrosa can't set up a bike without Puigs help.

That to me is the most interesting part...and could be the problem of him evolving.

Lorenzo just signed a one year extension at Fiat Yamaha.

It was the most boring thing that could happen....LOL

Yeah I agree. We were getting all excited about the prospect of a reshuffle, and then this. Oh well, Ducati better hope Stoner comes back now!

From the sounds in the gossip mines it is sounding more and more unlikely.
