Sachsenring
Mugello was a fantastic race, surprised there's no thread here!
Apparently Simoncelli sms-ed Pedrosa (he got his number off Valentino) after the Le Mans incident to apologise and have a chat about the it - Dani says he never received it because his phone was off.
So Dani comes back at Mugello after missing the rounds in between - Super Sic goes to apologise to Dani for the incident:

Re: Sachsenring
Yeah I was a bit lazy there...
After the start I thought Stoner would just take off, but then it got interesting. I love how Dovi snuck in to second as well, but I wish it would have been Ben instead or Lorenzo for the victory. Still, thanks to Simoncelli the championship remains really open!
Frustrating for Rossi and Ducati. Even if he gets an honourable 6th and best of the also rans, he was totally off the pace of the front runners and they just don't seem to be able to progress.
The Moto2 was great as well, but then again that is more usual.

Indeed, he is riding a sort of hybrid they call the GP 11.1 Essentially it is a GP12 chassis with the 800cc engine of this year. I suppose there is a huge problem with that since the chassis was obviously designed around a totally different engine, and is also far from being fully developed. So he has a chassis in its very early stage, with an engine it was not designed for.
To me it really seems like desperate measures. They are going nowhere with the GP11, so they try this new concoction. At this point it is probably safe to say they will not be taking any race wins in 2011, which is okay. I am just concerned that by using the 2012 chassis now with the 2011 engine they are going down another false route which will ultimately hurt the development of next year's bike.
Rossi is not going to be champion this year on Ducati, and next year is most likely the last chance he will have. He has started talking about going to WSBK, which I think is great, and I would not be at all surprised to see him there in 2013 together with the return of Ducati to the class as well.

Re: Sachsenring
Excellent races today at Sachsenring, and that goes for all the classes!
I suppose the only thing a bit strange is that these guys who obviously have balls of steel are scared to go to Motegi.....

I haven't heard anything about whether the F1 boyz have any issues with Suzuka 07 - 09 October this year - I don't know my Japanese geography, so maybe Suzuka isn't anywhere near the reactor...?
