Yes, reign by fear! I still don't understand how the Republic of the United States does business with the Communists. Hypocrisy?

Give it a few more years. The fascists are working on defunding the EPA to the mantra of "The Free Market Will Regulate Itself!".

9.5 hours sleep. Wow- I feel pretty good. So much for staying up.
I guess I need to go read all about it.
What kind of emission controls are on an F1 car?

Re: China? GP Thread?
1.4 seconds? Is that a lot? Because it seems Nando and Flippy are fine with it.
""I would give the team 10 out of 10 for how they managed qualifying over these first three races," Alonso said. "It is always very difficult to find the compromise between the need to take risks and being prudent and we have already seen mistakes costing some drivers dear in these three sessions. At the moment we should not be trying anything clever, instead keeping things simple."
Massa also had a positive outlook, saying that the car's performance during the race in Malaysia was reason for optimism, and didn't rule out a top three finish.

9.5 hours sleep? Jeez, I went to bed at 2230hrs, up at 0330hrs to watch FP3 - but it was worth it..! Guessed pole at 1:33:800, so only a smidge off.

And we all know the free market always has the good of the populus as a priority.
Looks like the Championship is over unless Mac can bring some big upgrades when they get back to Europe, but right now they are 8 tenths off the pace, that's an eternity.

It's a LONG season...da silva wrote:Looks like the Championship is over unless Mac can bring some big upgrades when they get back to Europe, but right now they are 8 tenths off the pace, that's an eternity.
OK, just now the WDC seems to be done-and-dusted...
But if RBR continue to have, a'hem, such "bad luck" with Mark's car, then the WCC will be Macs for sure...Lewis' impetuousness aside...
Bottom line - it's "Early Days" IMHO.
Meanwhile, back-at-the-ranch...and our PM has stated for the record that if we want to have a Street-Party to celebrate some Royal Nuptials, we can - and if any H&SE gets in the way, we can tell them to Fuck-Off...
So - looks like that's working well on the M1 just now...!

Re: China? GP Thread?
Funny thing this morning. I decided to turn the TV on the check the level of smog in Shanghai and ended up catching the last 15 or so laps of the race.
Wow! There was overtaking all over the place, and not for places way down the grid either. Seriously, some drafting passes, some outbraking, block passes etc. Damn, I can't remember when I last saw that kind of excitement in an F1 race.
Thoroughly entertaining, and it had me watching until the end. Good stuff.

WHAT a race...!
2-stoppers versus 3-stoppers...Mark from 18th to 3rd...Massa again beating Nando. And Michael actually driving well, and getting due praise chez moi...
If the rest of the season is going to be as good as the first 3 races, it's gonna be a stonker...!

That was a good race. The DRS system seems to be a huge help in passing.

I fell asleep after about 15 laps.. Tired, oh well. I'm glad to see someone besides Vettel win, and that it was so good even Henrik liked it.
Woke up on the floor next to the chair at the desk. I blame free jazz....

Seriously though, who the hell is this Perez driver? Didn't look like he understands much about the dynamics of a race car...
Or as Stoner told Rossi at Jerez, his ambition is greater than his talent...

Actually Perez and DiResta have been the standout rookies so far this year. Perez was just a little overambitious today.
