Model Collectors
I have an obsession/sickness, I cannot stop collecting model F1 cars.
Worse still, they are all 1/18 scale so is an expensive addiction
Unfortunately it's a little tacky because I don't have the space to display them. Most are boxed up in cupboards.
Hand buiilt aircraft
Die-cast
F1 World Champion 2000-2004
Same as above but with Berger's 1995 Ferrari 412T2 and 1997 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve's Williams
Panis's 1995 Ligier, Berger's 1997 Benetton, 2 Jordans and the walrus Williams
1985 de Angelis Lotus, 1992 Senna McLaren, same as above
250 Testarossa, 1980 Ferrari 312T5, 1981 Ferrari 126CK, 1984 Ferrari, F14 and F15
1997 Ferrari F310B, 1996 Ferrari F310, same as above
Behind the Jordan you can see a metallic tube, that's actually the attachment to the steering column from the steering wheel from the 1992 Larrousse LC192 (I have the steering wheel mounted on a plaque on the wall)
Middle, 1986 Benetton BMW turbo, 1999 Prost AP02, 1992 Ligier JS39, 2000 Williams
1997 Jordan J197, 2000 Prost AP03, 1998 Jordan J198
Right hand corner of the cabinet, can't see it, but's a Mugen-Honda spark plug from the 1995 Ligier
Also in the reflection, you'll be able to see titanium skid plates from the 1994 Ligier
Olivier Panis' helmet model signed

Re: Model Collectors
Now I am drooling!
I don't have many myself, although I like my first one being a Lotus 72D Fittipaldi. This is a 1/18 scale, and I think all my cars are 1/18.
I have more bikes though, as you would expect! Minichamps have made some beautiful bikes in 1/12, and I have a selection of Ducati WSBK. My favourite is a Ben Bostrom one, as I always loved the red bike with the blue frame on his bike. Otherwise, obviously a Foggy 996.
But your collection is something else!!

Re: Model Collectors
Nice collection, too many Ferraris. LOL.

I have a framed limited edition first printing, 1/500 of Ayrton's first win by Gavin Macleod. It now hangs on Sebastian's bedroom wall. I have over 30 years editions of Autocourse. No room for anything else.

I've seen that Lotus 72D go for quite a few $$ clams.
I wanted to start collecting bikes, as you say, there's some real beauties. A guy down here in Oz was selling them very cheap a few years back but I just missed the sales, shame as I would have loaded up.

Awesome, that's my favourite car of his .
Autocourses are quite difficult to find and anything pre-82 especially expensive to buy. I have a whole bunch although missing a few of the late 80s/early 90s. Saw a 1967 one go recently for over $500 US. My earliest one is 1979 I think. Great books!

'79 is also my earliest, but I have every year since. I know someone who has the entire collection though.

Re: Model Collectors
Ok, this person drops my collection into the 'non-event' category.

That's one impressive collection - but seriously OCD...!
Cool use of a racing wheel + tyre as a ceiling light fitting.
Thanks for the link Playlife.
