Not sure if you will see this but any suggestions?
We are visiting China next week and have a couple of days in HK, I’m gutted that ‘The American’ Chinese restaurant has closed, any recommendations for an equivalent local Chinese restaurant? Thanks j

Hey Dannyboy!
Hong Kong sure has changed, especially in the last few years. I think the only "traditional" restaurant that was still around when I was last there in 2016 was the City Hall Maxim's Palace. I think it is the last dim sum place that still uses trolleys (for lunch only). The decor is terrible in this huge dining hall, but I still love it for the dim sum.
Other than that I just head to Soho to find a nice place to eat after drinks in Lan Kwai Fong. Those two areas still remain somewhat the same.
