Re: fpotm!
Congratulations Danny Boy! You finally managed to get a win.
All the best to you and yours, and I hope things will begin to open up a bit in the not too distant future. Got my first shot a week ago, and should be fully vaccinated by the end of May.

Caroline is due her first jab next week.
Glad you and the family are okay.

Well done!!!
After a jump start you still managed to come back and win June.
I'm just happy that the rain has finally stopped and we are moving to summer weather.

Same here, Sunday was the hottest day of the year, yesterday was not to bad either. Hope this heralds a happier summer than last year.

Re: fpotm!
Thank God June is over, been a bitch of a month and seen hopes crash.
Harry had 9 races lined up in the UK for July and August with chassis, engines and mechanical support from 2 top suppliers provided free. Now, thanks to the buffoon in No. 10, he can't go to the UK without a ridicules amount of "Covid Safety Regulations" to comply with. To make matters worse, this would be a year when he is in the top age limit and not racing against people older than him.
Ah well, fingers crossed there will be a Rotax World Championship in November/December or early next year that he can race in.
Anyway, well done Henrik and enjoy the accolades that will come your way for this months success.

Sorry to hear about the problems Harry is facing. That is so annoying, and certainly not the sort of thing we want to have to deal with. I will also keep my fingers crossed for the World Championship to happen in November/December for him.
Enjoy the month!!

Hah!! You beat me on the Swiss National Day!! I saw how you cut around on the inside of the corner there and bumped me off the track....
Have a great month Danny Boy. I just hope we may finally have some summer weather, but it looks like this year is going to be a total bust.

Re: fpotm!
I just noted on FB that you said that one place you have visited that you would recommend to go to is Petra. I could not agree more with you!
Having visited Petra when I was a kid as we lived not far from it in Tabouk, Myriam had always dreamed to go. We were finally able to make that happen in 2018, and it was really great to be back. I really like visiting Jordan in general, and Petra especially.

Yes, great place and an amazing piece of history. Did you ever go to Jerash and see the old Roman Temple there?
I went to Jordan a couple of times when I worked in Iraq. I was friends with a Jordanian fella and went with him is his car from Baghdad, crazy bloody driver

Re: fpotm!
No, we did not make it to Jerash in our last trip. But I think next time we will.
We had a great couple of days at the spa by the Dead Sea, and we are thinking of going back for that again. We would then get a car again to check out some of the sights we had missed.
There are a lot of crazy drivers in that area...

Don't forget to have a picture of you floating in the Dead Sea while reading a newspaper, you can also get the Dead Sea Fishing Club T-Shirt.
While I was in Iraq I also made friends with some Kurdish men (from Erbil), they said there was a 5 day holiday coming up and the were going to Syria for a few days and invited me along. I told them I would never get a the visa in time. They said "no problem, we do not go through the border control". Went somewhere in the north east and saw these amazingly well preserved Roman ruins with a shepherd boy and his sheep as the only person in sight.

Re: fpotm!
Syria was such a wonderful country to visit. Many incredible historic sites to visit and friendly people. When we lived in Beirut we would often go to Damascus. Also, while in Tabuk, we did drive to Beirut going through Jordan and then Syria to get there. It was amazing.
Unfortunately, crazy people have ruined it now...
Oh, and the part of Saudi bordering towards Jordan and Wadi Rum have many more stunning sites to visit like Petra.

Re: fpotm!
Well done, in my defence, I have had Harry here for a few days. I picked him up from his flight from Dubai to Dublin Friday lunch time and took him to Belfast Airport yesterday (Tuesday) and went with him while he checked in for his flight to Birmingham in the UK.
He is going there to race in the IAME 'O' PLATE International Qualifier on the 11-12 of this month, and a couple of warm up races before.
When I got home Caroline told me Dan had rang and said Harry got to the plane they would not let him board without some paperwork as he is classed as an unaccompanied minor.
That meant I had to return and pick him up, bring him home and then return to Belfast at 5 am this morning for an early morning flight (3 x 200 kilometre trips in 16 hours) and sign a form with my details and contact number to enable him to get on the flight.
All is now well and Harry has put in 5 hours of practice today, as well as getting fitted for his Kart.
I will send you details of where to watch the races when I get them.
All the best and I will be up and ready for October.

As if travelling was not complicated enough these days with all the Covid restrictions and controls!!! At least Harry was able to make it in the end, and I am looking forward to following his racing in the coming weeks.
