WSBK 2012 Imola
Having watched race 1 this morning it looks like the tests in Aragon were not a fluke. The 2012 ZX10R with Sykes is fast! It's good to see a green bike out front again, even if Checa ended up taking the victory.
Honda on the other hand are really struggling, and poor Hoppers is not doing too well on the Suzuki altough that probably is due to him being injured (as always I am tempted to say...).

Race 2 pretty similar to race 1. Sykes tried again, but Checa was just to fast in the end taking another double.
I am really happy to see Sykes up there, and also Haslam on the Beemer. Could be another great season shaping up there...

I didn't even realize Hopper was racing until about lap 12. LOL
I'm not quite sure what they feed Checa, but damn that dude is fast.

I think it is old age.... trying to give myself hope!
I'm looking forward to see what Scott Smart will be doing in the BSB this year on the Panigale since now they are all EVO machines. Let's face it, Checa's bike is two years old now...

So maybe Imola is especially good for the Duc, but still...and as far as old age for Checa goes...he's got at least one more title coming with his name on it.
I'm truly interested in the Panigale. If it lives up to expectations the game is over. The hole MotoGP GP11 Ducati issue still rings in my head about the Panigale. I really wonder what it will react like being put under the pressure of BMW, Kawi, and the Ape's.
BTW...poor Johnny Rea. Dude needs a new bike.

Looking at the Superstock results from Imola it looks like the Panigale is working out okay. It placed second on the grid, and then was leading the race when it was red flagged. In the final sprint a Beemer won, but the Panigale finished third in it very first race.
I'll have to give Scott a call to see how he is doing on it, and his first race will be next weekend.

Oh, Johnny and Aoyama both need a new bike. Seriously, what is up with Honda?

Can't believe ''Charlie Chucker'' as Barry Sheene used to call him is still going.
