Juan-Pablo Montoya, I actually miss him. Empty Juan-Pablo Montoya, I actually miss him.

I have been following Juaner's new career quite closely because I wanted to see how an F1 driver would make out in the world of Nascar, and as a result I have become a bit of a closet Nascar fan (someone help me please). And maybe worse than that I have become a great fan of him and looking back at some of the videos, it is clear he was supremely talented. It is too bad he just could not keep his emotions somewhat in check because he could have been a multiple world champion if were not for this minor flaw, but on the other hand I believe it truly contributed to his brilliance at times.

He is on the cusp of winning the Nascar championship, mainly because he has calmed down, but what a character he is/was.

Halfway through this video there is an extremely funny part when he is qualifying at Spa. I don't want to say anymore until you guys I have a chance to watch it.

i miss him as well, as he was a genuine M$ challenger. i personally think R$ sabotaged him a few times at williams for the benefit of his brother.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but Laura and I talked to him at the MotoGP race. He is easy to get along with, but man he has put on the pounds. I think he is probably sitting 235lbs right now.

Here is a pic of Laura at a trade show with him.

Does that mean he is under weight for NASCAR driver?

Some of those boys are big. Tony stewart is just as big as monty.

Another thing to point out is that juan is 3rd in the chase with a non Hendrick owned car. Hendrick has probably 7/8 of the top chase cars either owned or supplied by him.h

I actually remember that, and yes, it is hilarious. Yes, JPM or in NASCAR terms JM, was quite the interesting character. Actually I miss seeing his adorable son.

There was never any question that he had talent. He was just lacking the brains to put an entire season together. Were he able to see the bigger picture he would have been a WDC. Williams SHOULD have had a WDC/WCC while they had BMW power and Montoya driving there. That failure is entirely his in my opinion.

I must say I am offended when I've heard a NECKCAR announcer refer to him as a "Formula 1 Champion", which I have heard more than once.

I don't really miss him, because his rabid myopic fanboys were the worst of the worst with numbers right up there.
