Suzuka 2009
How great to see a race here again.
I would really like to see Kimi finish out is tenure at Ferrari with some great showings, but that is really a toss-up.
Looking at the practice times we have heavy rain yesterday and it looks like quals could be dry.
It could be a fun race.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck....
Just after the database closed - a whole 50 minutes BEFORE qually, mind (!) - and Webber's going to be starting from the back / pitlane, due to a chassis change after his girlie prang in FP3.
Bloody Aussies...! Repatriate the lot of 'em, and sentence them to interminable shit weather...!
Still, the good news is that, with Renault suddenly having some spare advertising space, there's room for Nando's new bumper sticker - "My other car is a Ferrari"...

Re: Suzuka 2009
I've got to miss quals even though it starts in a few minutes. I've got to be onsite at 5:00am Saturday and Sunday for an hour or 2 and need to sleep.
Be sure that I'll log onto F1.com at 4:30 while sipping coffee to see what I'm about to miss.

Re: Suzuka 2009
Not sure I'll get qually on the computer, How about the standard "need a good showing from Toyota in front of the big bosses..." And interesting that Glock was ill on friday so the Japaneese tester got to drive ......
and this is Suzuka, not Fuji, they're switching every year, right?
No predictions from me, I just hope it rains, love the 130R in the rain.

That was a wild qualy. I caught most of it. So now, WTH is the grid going to look like? Poor Fisi, I thought he could drive better than that.

Re: Suzuka 2009
Well, the script writers have been hard at work, Vettle keeps the chase open, Toyota gets big props in front of the home crowd, gueuze fell asleep about halfway thru.
Letting Braun score points, but just a few, was better than keeping them out completely.
So on to Brazil, where Fernando Alonso better keep his head down so some Massa/tifosi type doesn't take a shot at him, I'm not kidding, I expect him to be reviled there.

Re: Suzuka 2009
Gueuze, you're more cynical than I am... and that is saying something.
I had hoped for a bit more action beyond the rookie errors. Oh well... an absolutely stellar drive by Vettel though.

Re: Suzuka 2009
is it just me or was racing on a non-tilke designed race circuit just a better show? suzuka is a fantastic race track.
