A quite ludicrous ending to the new qualifying format.

1 car out when the timing started;
2nd car had no chance to get in and replace his tyres before the timing was up;
4 out of 8 cars decided to sit out the timing after the first 3 laps and just sat in their cars as the clock ticked down;
Hamilton and Rosberg did a token lap with 7 minutes to go and did not even do a second lap, even though there was plenty of time left.

Yeah, I have read some interesting comments about this. Looks like the FIA have outdone themselves in trying to improve the qualifying formula.

Man I remember how exiting the qualifying used to be back in the late 90's with Mika and Michael fighting it out to he last seconds. This new formula I really don't understand, but then again I was not watching it either.

I miss the old 1 hour session and best of 4 timed laps, qualifying engines and body parts...

They've turned it into a circus, and not in a good way.
