Anyone notice
It is the last race of the season, double points bollox by bernie, to try and screw up what has been a good racing season.
He really is a cancer on face F1, the evil dwarf.
Ah well, same old, same old.

As you say... same old, same old.
As much as this is ridiculous, I also found it ridiculous back in the day when all results did not count.

Re: Anyone notice
Whichever points system you use, someone will be complaining.
There's no system which is perfect.
Some are worse than others, sure.
In the end, double points had little effect on the WDC standings.
The highest position that it effected was Perez finishing 9th ahead of Magnussen.
It had no effect on the WCC.
None the less, glad to see double points won't be used next year.

Double points.
Applied to seasons past, the following WDC changes:
1953 Fangio
1956 Moss
1958 Moss
1970 Ickx
1979 G.Villeneuve
1981 Jones
1984 Prost
2003 Raikkonen
2008 Massa
2012 Alonso
WDC Titles
6 M.Schumacher
5 Fangio
5 Prost
3 Vettel
.
.
2 Moss
2 Raikkonen
1 Ascari
With the exception of Ascari I think the 'new' winners are about right. Of course knowing there are double points in the final race would have changed the attitude towards it but it's still an interesting exercise.
