MotoGP Le Mans
I never likes the Le Mans track for bike racing. I find it too much stop and go all the time. Still, there was some good racing today...
As always, the Moto3 race was excellent. Unfortunately, Fenati had some technical issue and had to retire, but such is life some times. As for the rest, we ended up with a pack of some 7 riders racing for the win in the last lap. In the end it was KTM boy Jack Miller who got the win having determined that he will push at least as hard as the others to get there. As it turned out Vasquez was not too happy about it since he clearly had the fastest bike of the day, but got pushed wide at a crucial moment. Maverick's cousin Isaac got his first podium as well.
In Moto2 it was a race for the old boys, seeing Mika Kallio win his second race in a row, and having Corsi join him on the podium. Not as much excitement here though as in Moto2.
Finally the MotoGP seemed as if it would have Marquez run away with it again. However, he had a poor start, and then made some mistakes in the early laps, making him fall quite some places down. At the same time, Rossi got of with a great start, and it was not long before he was in the front trying to build up a gap. It was clear soon though that Marquez would catch him given the difference in lap times. I thought it quite amazing how Marquez would pass rider after rider at the same place. He soon caught Rossi, and when Rossi went wide in one corner it was all over. So, five out of five for the truly brilliant Marquez!

That spot where Marquez passed everyone seemed perfect for that bike. I am also amazed at how poor Lorenzo is racing. He should be beating Rossi, but it is like age has caught up to him. That or maybe he is already looking to move to Honda, and he doesn't want to get hurt.

It's in his head. He is suffering from being beaten by Marquez in the same way Gibernau suffered from Rossi. The funny thing is that the trend started for Lorenzo when Marquez pushed past him in Jerez last year, which is exactly where Rossi so forcefully passed Gibernau all those years ago.

I was reading that it's the tyres that Jorge has not been able to get his head around this year.

In my opinion that is just an excuse. One of the races this year, I think it was Austin, they even ran on last year's tires and it didn't really help him. Granted, he blew that one at the start, but still.
