2014 Australian GP!
So the first race of the season is here? Any ideas on how this lottery is going to play out?
Just based on the testing the Mercedes powered teams look good, although Ferrari appears fairly close in pace.
I'm thinking we're going to see more attrition than we've seen in a long time.
But the real question is, has Red Bull/Renault been seriously sandbagging to get the competition's guard down?
We will find out soon.
Any predictions?

Mercedes might win by two laps. Red Bull are screwed.

These cars sound strange after years of the high RPM V-8s & 10s. Although later in P1 when a couple of drivers started to get on them a bit the sound got a bit of a scream to it.

I think the Mercedes powered teams are holding back.

They sounded awful. No earplugs required (not necessarily a bad thing) but it just missed the 'wow' factor.
What a race from two rookies, Magnussen and Kvyat. Especially the latter, the Toro Rosso looked a handful.

As usual I fell asleep after Lap Two, and was only roused by one of my cats leaping onto my...
So GPWeek is also of the opinion that the Merc engine is sandbagging at least for the start of the season, and then they will start dialing it up as the others start catching up. Remember, you must go as slow as possible.
Hey gang. OMG, I cannot believe so many of you are still here.
This little adventure of mine, running a small film-finishing business certainly soaks up a lot of time. But now that I have re-set my password, hopefully have a nice quiet, turbocharged chat once in a while.
