Rugby 2015
It is a bit disappointing that there has not been a thread on this opened yet. No matter, this mishap has now been rectified.
So, today was a pretty packed day of games. First of all, Japan showed the world that their victory against SA was not a fluke. They played very well today against Samoa, and although I doubt they will make it to the quarters, I wish they would.
The second game I only managed to see the last five minutes of. I was torn for that game as I sort wanted both sides to win. In the end, SA was able to come back from the shocking start of the tournament and are now set to move on to the quarter finals.
Finally the big one. Seriously, where was England? I would have thought that after the shocker against Wales they would come back fighting, but today was pretty much all about the Wallabies. I absolutely loved their second try in the first half. I always think it is a bummer when the host goes home early though.

Yeah It is a bummer but England lacked discipline when they needed it most. To tackles off the ball in their own half showed how much pressure they put on themselves.
I don't think SA played great rugby. they played the usual heavy weight rugby we 've been known for over the last 30 years. they also lack creativity. I can't see the Springboks going beyond the quarters. Samoa well they just seem to choke at the world cup. Japan playing great rugby but they need more experience. Scotland just found themselves too light to penetrate.
The USA could still undo SA's quarter final appearance

Yeah, I really don't think the USA will do anything against SA.
I have not been able to see enough of the games so far though, and really the only full game I have watched was the Twickenham game last night.
When it comes down to it, I like most teams and am just happy as long as the French are beaten....

Re: Rugby 2015
England were pathetic, played badly against Fiji, played even worse against Wales, and showed how out of touch we are as a team against Australia.
We have some talent, unfortunately we have a manager who could not find a hooker in a brothel.
Good players not even in the squad, in-form players dropped. The manager is clueless, the TV shots of him during any game will show you that he looks like a rabbit frozen in car headlights.
Anyway, although English, I have adopted my wife's team Ireland, who are streets ahead of England in every department of the game.

Good choice there with Ireland. They do seem to be in good form this year, although I was surprised by theor struggle to beat Italy yesterday.

Tactical games and saving energy.
The result against France is the big one, win that and the next round is play Argentina, lose and play New Zealand.

Indeed. Given that the French always fear the Pumas more than the All Blacks I can imagine that both teams would be happy with an Irish victory in that game.

What a perfect result, Ireland beat the Pumas, France beat the cheating Kiwi's.
I understand people dislike the French, but they play a wonderfully enjoyable style of rugby.

The problem with the French is that they are French.
Apart from that they play pretty good rugby. Still, they are French...

Re: Rugby 2015
But we still want then to beat the Kiwi's!!!!!!!!
It was a very good game, tremendous discipline and control by the Irish, for a nation of around 6 million people, that is some rugby team.

Well, you want them to beat the Kiwis. I don't!
Ireland was great today, and I am looking forward to seeing them play the Wallabies in the semis.

Raptor, you must have been nervous for 75 minutes of that game.

Re: Rugby 2015
That was a tight game for SA. Loved that last try.
Then in the second game of the day, well I supposed it did like a bit of tension. Walk in the park? I think the Boks will have a tough time in the semis against the All Black.

Argentina were great, and I had the Irish down for winning the whole thing before that game.
Now Australia is having a tougher time than I expected as well.

How lucky was that, Argentina are going to destroy the Aussies if the 2 games today are anything to go on.

Hell yeah! Earlier I really though the Wallabies and the Irish were the top teams. Argentina is suddenly looking like a very possible finalist and possibly winner.
