Nando will be Ferrari's #1.
Kimi will just go out there, win the races, earn shed-loads, and eat ice-cream....
Simples.

I think this is also Ferrari putting Nando on notice for opening his mouth. If he doesn't shut up and drive they've already got a replacement on staff. From a management standpoint a much more effective strategy than hiring a #2 and hoping the proven malcontent loudmouth steps in line.
I expect some fireworks.

This denial kinds of confirms my suspicions:
“For anyone thinking that the choice of Kimi is somehow an anti-Alonso choice, I can put their minds at rest: at Ferrari, everyone knows the interests of the team come first and only then those of the individual. Fernando is a key asset for this team and he will be for a long time. I’m sure he is the first to be happy with a choice made to strengthen the group, because he is too intelligent not to realise that a stronger team can only be an advantage.”

They wouldn't say such a thing if it were'nt on their collective minds...

"...a choice made to strengthen the group..."
Pretty damning of Felipe.
BTW - I was watching World Series by Renault this morning:
Sirotkin is in the field.
He didn't do stellar, for someone about to become an F1 Driver at Sauber next season.
Which worries me.
What with Lotus seemingly about to hit the buffers, and Sauber becoming a "Pay Driver Only" stable, the likes of Hulkenburg / Massa / Grosjean may join the ranks of the unemployed next year...unless there's movement at McLaren?
So, a smart move by Kimi. If only to get the Ferrari auto-denial app into a higher gear as Eso so rightly observes...
