spanish GP 2013
we're such a lively bunch around here: quals in 10 hours and no thread yet...
Since I'm laid up recuperating I'm probably going to catch most of it. New parts for the teams, Mclaren still just hurting this season.
It should be a good race, although probably going vettel or alonso.

I figured you would be able to catch this one! I really hope that you will be able to get that leg fixed soon.

It was alright. Alonso, Raikkonen, Massa, Vettel... It was nice to see the Redbull team shut out of the podium. There were some passes.
Still, somehow not all that exciting.

Sounds painful eso.
But not as painful as McLaren's form... as a Ferrari fan, I am not enjoying seeing them struggle, now that's saying something!
What a move by Alonso on turn 3, passing two cars on the outside of that corners..talk about big cajones. Deserved to win the race on that move alone.
Gutierrez finally pulled his finger out, Perez looks to have gotten his act sorted and Ricciardo put in another fine driver.
But what's with Mercedes? I've never seen a car so quick in qualifying yet so damn slow in the race. Not even Minardi in Adelaide 1989 was that slow in the race even though Martini qualified it on the 2nd row!

That's a good point PLAYLIFE. WTF is up over there. It really is pathetic.
For some visual aid this is what I'm dealing with:
I got a good laugh out of this. As many of you know our very own ilgs has taken to drawing cartoons in his spare time and as typical of someone in this group he has a sense of humor that is well off center... Anyway he had just recently given a lecture to his colleagues on this very sort of device and that occasion inspired this:
It's Monday morning here. Wednesday I see my orthopedic surgeon and I'm hoping they wil just admit me and get straight to the reconstruction. The swelling is almost all gone. The wear on the family is taking it's toll. My poor wife is a trooper but I need to get off he bedrest and into the recovery phase ASAP.

Not that great really, the Ferrari has been very fast on starts since last season.
