Re: Montreal
I wonder if any team will get "real-life" body parts sent to them?

Re: Montreal
If I get my hands on Pastor, there will be a ready supply of "real-life body parts" available.

Great race! Quite a drama at the last pitstop for Hamilton but it was well worthy for an awesome fight towards the end of the race.

Re: Montreal
another great race... 7/7!!!
my money is that it wont be 8 from 8 next race
best season i've ever seen by far. they are trying everything now to get position, some radical strategies are emerging from the teams.

Ferrari should be shot. Slowly. With a spoon.
Nando was on for a podium, if not a win, if The Dark-Side had covered-off Lewis' pit-stop - even a lap later.
And Jeez - looks like Michael used up all of his Good Luck in a previous incarnation...how many more "mechanicals" is he going to tolerate...? Still - he's on to be a "next winner" surely?
WTF is up with Button these days? I can't believe that it's all down to the car.
Great race - even if I am still head-down in the exhaust-poop of Botolphs Bridge Inn et al...

Michael isnt getting the help from the grid like he once did long ago. he doenst have an RB teammate with team orders, yielding saubers, and a brother who is a teammate to his main rival... he's out there all alone, and the number 2. he looks kinda ordinary now doesnt he?

Re: Montreal
Had my eyes glued to the timing screen more than the TV screen this race.
Ferrari/Alonso never made that extra 1.5-2 seconds they needed to get in front of Hammy at the last stop. It looked like Alonso was going to have it but then Hammy nailed s2 signifying that the options were now much quicker so Ferrari had to react that lap to get Alonso back out just before Lewis.
Either that, or stick it out on the used primes and hope they last which would mean certain victory. Unfortunately they didn't, they were 5-odd laps short and the times plummeted to lapping in the 1'19s.
They rolled the dice but it didn't pay off. At best Alonso was 2nd, so I see it as dropping 8 points only. Still, had they played safe he'd still be leading the WDC.
Great race from Grosjean and especially Perez. Sauber did not look great in Practice nor qualifying but they pulled it out of the bag for the race! Solid drive by Lewis too.
Biggest eye opener was Button...what the hell was all that about? Absolutely NOWHERE all weekend?!?! He looked supreme early in the year, but since China he's been AWOL.

Great piece of analysis, Playlife. I thoroughly agree with your critique...but I still say that Ferrari should have TRIED to have done the deal.PLAYLIFE wrote:Had my eyes glued to the timing screen more than the TV screen this race.
This is Nando...the "never give up" Nando.
I hated him after the Mac debacle. I hated him at Renault the following year due to the Mac debacle AND the Singapore Piquet Crashgate issue. I hated him because he joined "The Dark Side". And now I love him because he can out-drive a dog of a car, lead and motivate a team (without MS styleƩ #2's), push to the limit, and still remind me of that talented back-marker in a Minardi.
OK - so he would have had to pass Lewis on track - and that in itself last weekend might have been too ambitious...but what a joust that would have been...!
Hope to see your crits in an F1 magazine soon...

Would have been great to see Hammy and Alonso flogging it out until the end wouldn't it? I think Hammy still had the legs on him but as it turned out it was a fairly easy cruise up to and past for Lewis although at the time it was touch and go whether he'd have the time to do it all. Pretty much a spot-on strategy for Macca this time.
