Okay, the line up was origonal with Bautista on pole followed by Spies and Stoner, and even though the rain had helped causing this there was hope for some interesting racing. I was really keeping my fingers crossed for Spies and hoping Alvaro could get a podium. In the end, Spies faltered and Bautista nearly made it.

Lorenzo is just a notch above the others. It was amazing how fast he was in the corners today, having such complete confidence in his bike. Stoner tried to do something about it, but it was just not going to happen. Seems to me Lorenzo is well on his way for another title.

Hayden was looking pretty good there for a while too, but as usual it was not to last. The Ducatis really are no good. Oh, and how brave is Cal! Doesn't know what pain is that one...

Moto2 was great as usual. All through the race there was some seriously good and clean fighting, and it was obvious Redding was going to try and get ahead of Marquez. Great that he made it at home, even if Pol took the victory.

Moto2 was awesome as always.

MotoGP was interesting. Ben complained about almost the same thing as Stoner, that the rear tire gave up.

I'm really waiting for silly season to get into full swing. There is going to be some interesting signings in the next few months.

Well the main rumour is that Dorna will bend the rookie rule so that Marquez can get Stoner's Honda. Even if they don't bend the rules, all they need to do is give a works bike to Gresini for Marquez to ride. I wouldn't mind seeing what Rea could do on it though. How about getting rid of Pedrosa as well...

Then there is Yamaha. Will Spies get to keep the bike? I really doubt it. He might have been complaining about the tire, but Jorge didn't seem too bothered by it. The guy is so damn smooth, and his corner speed is just amazing. By keeping such a high speed through the corner, with a smooth acceleration, he doesn't need to bang on the throttle when he exits the corner. This could be what is saving his tire more than the others.

I have to believe that Yamaha is really looking around for a replacement for Ben. I'm not sure Cal or Dovi would be the answer...but they might be a better choice.

Dovi has impressed me this year, jumping onto a Yamaca and very competitive off the bat.

I believe the Yamaha suits Dovi better than the Honda, it is a smoother bike and Dovi has always been a smooth rider.

To be honest, I think the Honda would suit Cal better than the Yamaha, and so the ideal would be to see Dovi on the works Yamaha and Cal on the works Honda.
