Well, judging by the season to date, absolutly anything could happen. It is about time Lotus won a race though.

Kimi in particular. Thursday practice, correct?

Yes, Thursday for practice, do you think that a 20 year trend can be broken, and Monaco will not be a boring procession of advertising hoardings largely ignored by the tarts-for-hire on the arms of decrepit old men, and other brain-dead morons that flock there only to be seen?

I love Monaco, a true test.

I don't care if there's only 1 car going around, it's absolutely spectacular seeing an F1 car driving around one of the most least likely places you'd ever expect a race to be held.

Not sure if any of you have walked or driven through the tunnel, but I couldn't believe how incredibly sharp that kink is. It is absolutely astonishing that they can whizz through there at over 250km/hr.

I always thought the lowes hairpin was always wild to walk down. The Tunnel always is cool to walk when you get a chance.

And the steepness and windiness of the hill up from Ste Devote was an eye opener too.

i was there a month ago, they were building all the seating. beautiful city, cleanest place i have ever seen.

no predictions for a winner from me.... this season is just too unknown. hopefully FI or Lotus win it, just to keep the randomness going.

I'd definitely rule out Ferrari since they are terrible in traction zones but...

Storms for Saturday and rain predicted for Sunday...!!

Anyone know what was up with Kimi's car? I watched part of P1 and the crew was changing out his steering box or something and he didn't get any timed laps in.

It looks like he did get out in P2, but not very fast. WRF?

Apparently there are not enough Gravel Stages.... scratch

FP1 & 2 recorded - I intend to lamped tonight, and then get up in time to skim through FP1 & 2, followed by full attention to FP3 live.

Or not... Beer

The steering rack they created special for Monaco was horrible. He mad them bring back the one they used in Spain and notch it so it can make the hairpin

Picturing the Lotus team with a hacksaw notching out the steering rig, the pinnacle of motorsport, lol.

Hacksawing carbon fiber would be a funny pic.

Done loads of that TC, when I worked for CTG.
It's not difficult - a bit like fibreglass. The major downside is that the dust is massively electrically conductive, and gets into places where you really don't want it to be...the number of PC power-supplies that I had to replace on a bi-weekly basis was astonishing. And that was on PC's in the first floor offices, a good distance from the factory on the ground floor.

I used to buy fiberglass hockey sticks. When they broke I had to take tape to pull the splinters out of my hands.

Wishful thinking

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

But congratulations to Monaco, the most boring race of the season for 20 years in a row, or whenever it was Panis won in the rain.

I don't find Monaco boring at all, even when the race is processional. The ultimate test, love it!

So much for my predictions of Ferrari and Merc not doing well...bloody hell this season is a mystery.

You think a Mclaren following a Caterham for 40 odd laps is the ultimate challenge?????

No overtaking on the track after the 2nd bend (unless your car is dying)is this the ultimate challenge?????
