Motorcycle Movies

Even if the WSBK has kicked off, I am still missing the bike racing. So, I decided to see if I could find some recent motorcycle movies, and came up with three!as

Fastest
This is the third in a series of MotoGP movies. The first, Faster, I really enjoyed. It was around the time they switched from two strokes to four strokes. Then there was the one made around the Laguna Seca race. Now we have Fastest which is in a way about Rossi having to hand over to the young generation. I enjoyed the movie, with lots of good racing footage. It was very long, and if you are not a bike fan you might get bored.

TT3D Closer to the Edge
This is a fabulous movie about the Isle of Man TT. The main character is Guy Martin, and what a character!! I am not a fan of the TT, and hate the yearly deaths there, but I can understand the passion there. The movie is a must see, with incredible images of the racing on the island. I can't wait to watch it again, and i still have goose bumps from the first time.

I, Superbiker
I still have to watch this one. It is about the BSB, and since I love the racing there I can't wait to watch it.

I can watch "On Any Sunday" and smile all day. I remember my dad taking me to it, and realizing the pure fun of it. It probably helped that Bruce Brown made it so it had that kooky humor in it.

Faster was great. I haven't seen Fastest yet...I don't know why. I can't imagine a movie about MotoGP could get boring Henrik...but I can see from your post that its possible. Maybe I will hop on line and buy it here one of these days.

BTW Henrik...Mine and Matt's new surf clothing company "Bro Deal" had the pit shirts made for the ESP/BMW team with racer Jake Holden. They called and we paid...LOL...so now if you watch the Daytona Superbike race this weekend...root for #59 Jake Holden! Woot!

Okay, so now I know what to watch this weekend!

About Fastest, I did say that if you are not a bike fan you might get bored. So, that does imply that you and I would not get bored!!!

On Any Sunday is a great movie too. As you say, you watch it and smile.

Closer to the Edge is not one you will necessarily smile about. The TT is cruel, and I hate the fact that it has taken so many lives, but the movie is really great. You will love it. And Guy Martin is such a character!
