"One Word Raikonnen" is probably the best name for him. Only a select few can perfectly answer a question with just one word.

What do you mean, now we're in a proper time zone
McLaren unsurprisingly look quick and I expect Lotus to fulfil their obvious potential although I'm not convinced they can carry that same speed into the race.
Lewis quickest in FP1 and Ferrari in big big trouble. Looks like it will be a wet FP2. I'm guessing they will put some serious laps in because there is a high chance it will rain for either quali/race or both.

you saw it here first: perez to ferrari to replace massa 2013
KR has got his groove back.. well done
red bulls are not in their zone yet. it looks like a mclaren year this one if it keeps going like this.
missed watching the qualy, but the results are interesting indeed...

4am was a bit early, set my alarm but blew it off. shame on KR's gearbox.
Glendo- you think they'll wait that long? I wouldn't be surprised to see him gone before Monaco, unless he really steps up.
Glad to see HRT made the 107% rule.

Re: C-ping-pong-pang......
So, what has happened at Lotus in the off-season to bump them 2/3rd of the way up the grid? Don't get me wrong, I love the old brands and I've been a big Kimi fan too, but I'm shocked at the pace they're showing.
I passed on the Quals because I really needed sleep. I'll stay up to atleast catch the start tonight. While not a "Proper " time-zone, the far eastern area races are easier for me to watch than the European races.

now you know how we feel over here. im now blessed with 4 races in my timezone. when they are in europe it's a 10pm-midnight viewing, and when they are in the americas it's a 3am-5am early wake up.

Where did Grosjean come from? He's quick.

He's been around for a while. He was a test driver for Renault and took over for Piquet during 2009 until the end of that season.
Born in Geneva, he's quite well known around here. One of my best friends used to work with Romain at a bank here (yep, some drivers actually have to make a living before making it big...)

Re: C-ping-pong-pang......
Well, made it up for the race, did not survive the delay, woke on the couch 8am. Oh well.
Sauber/Ferrari orders? Tough one, face it, Alonso has way more experience, the idea of Perez getting a wheel wrong is pretty easy to understand. But....

I like ol Massa, but that crash ruined him. Ferrari will want Perez ASAP considering he is a Ferrari Development Program driver.

Funny how a near death experience can chance someone's outlook, huh?

I don't want to rain on your parade but I said the same thing last year!
I think it's a no-brainer though since he is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy and already drove the F150° at Fiorano last year.
I was genuinely surprised Ferrari stuck with Massa for 2012, I thought Perez would get the seat.

Re: C-ping-pong-pang......
i thought Massa did enough last year to guarantee he'd never drive an f1 car again, but nooooo....
and i call bs on Perez not overtaking Alonso like a boss and winning that friggin GP like he deserved... pretty much 0.5 - 1 sec quicker than anyone else all race... awesome!

Re: C-ping-pong-pang......
i genuinely think he made an honest mistake by running off the track, however i think ferrari would have pulled the 'we supply engines' card and made them fall back. sauber wouldnt complain with a safe second, and a happy engine supplier...
they will win anyway, they get perez.

Re: C-ping-pong-pang......
Sauber made a great call by bringing Perez in at the end of lap 1.
Sauber then made a bad call by leaving him out 1 lap more than Alonso - although given the reports of rain starting at turn 4 I can partially understand it. Although at the time, Ricciardo on the slicks was super quick so it was obvious that it was the tyre to be on.
Sauber then made a good call by putting Perez on the primes (hard) whilst almost the entire field, including Alonso and Hamilton were on the options (mediums). That's part of the reason why Perez had so much more speed than everyone.
Perez showed in GP2 he was super quick and I'm glad he was able to translate that to F1 and now show the world what he is capable of (even though he did last year but no one notices those in the mid-pack).
As for conspiracy theories, well, you can come up with conspiracy theories all day about every driver/team. If it was that contrived, I can't imagine teams wanting to participate at all. You could point the finger at Mercedes/McLaren/Force India or Lotus/Red Bull/Caterham too but it just gets a bit silly!
