Macau GP this week
For those of you haven't ever seen the MGP...it's this week. Ive got some very good friends working crew and racing there. There's five Americans racing this year, including Chris Clark who just got signed by Yoshimura Suzuki, Jermey Toye who finished 3rd last year, Mike Barnes (Barney), Mark Miller, and Sean Dwyer.
You've got to have a whole lot of really loose marbles for brains to do this race. You are surrounded by metal armcos, and cement walls for virtually the entire lap.
I love it!
Here;s the schedule:

Yeah I tend to keep an eye on what is going on there. Those guys are nuts, and it is usually the same guys that ecxel on the IOM who do well in Macau as well. I have a cool picture somewhere on my home computer of McBeer (as greg calls McGuiness) with his shoulder rubbing against the concrete wall.
Nuts...

Re: Macau GP this week
It was wet in Macau which I imagine would make an already challenging track chaotic.
Roberto Merhi claimed pole by as whopping 1.6 seconds, but has been penalised for crossing a line on pit-exit and then crashing into the back of another car (after his prov. pole quali lap), so will drop 10 places (3 and 7 grid spot penalties respectively). I don't understand the penalty for the crash, it's not like he did it on purpose. The driver he hit was going really slowly on the racing line, if anyone was to be punished, it should be him. I think it's just a racing incident.

Re: Macau GP this week
Just so that we're clear here - you guys are talking about F3 Euro Series - not the WTCC race this weekend in Macau...?
