Hadn't paid much attention to the rumours as I figured it was just another empty box so was surprised to hear the news on the radio this morning.

Are there any track details?

Almost sounds like a good thing. No Tilke? Boring like Valencia?

Bernie's dream of a big city race, with airports and fancy hotels already right there, like Monaco, Valencia, Montreal.

Now off to east bumfuck, India, where a billion people without indoor plumbing will not see the race.

Video has a 10 second shot of a track map with elevations. And a lot of typical PR bullshit.

Shamu reunion?

Looks like a pretty high speed track for a street course.

Chris Christie doesn't seem like a bad guy for a republican.

By all means a reunion. We must make that happen.

But what about Austin? Isn't that one supposed to launch in 2012? And it is 2012 after all, so we may not even be seeing 2013...

NYC has more done than Austin. Did anyone else see the pre race video of Austin showing them just pushing dirt?

I did see a pic from this summer of DC in Austin (after shooting the street scenes) taking the Red Bull sliding around the dirt turnat the track.

.Down to the wire, as always.
