I guess my hope of a break-a-way series is dead again...at least for awhile.

I wonder when Max will let us know he is running again....a couple weeks at most is my bet.

M$...I wonder how long it will take him to cheat...or at least get accused of it. My bet is the first race weekend. Very Happy

Anyone who is following F1...can you tell me what happened to Braun GP? They seemed to be going backwards fast.

How did seabass's replacement do?

Is USF1 really going to have a team?

Answers in no particular order:

17) Braun GP aren't...and Brawn GP isn't doing too well either...the weather + aero updates + Rubens being petulant isn't a winning combination.

2) MS already being accused of cheating: http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/090801173945.shtml 01/08/09 17:39
The FIA is to investigate Michael Schumacher's Friday test at the Mugello circuit.

Observers of secret photos of the nearly 70-lap session were alarmed to see the 40-year-old German's 2007 single seater equipped with slick Bridgestone tyres.

Schumacher said afterwards that the slicks in use were from the GP2 series, but it may be that other teams strictly observing the in-season test ban are concerned about having that information verified.

A spokeswoman for F1's governing body told the German news agency DPA that, according to the report, "the FIA is concerned about the slicks used on the F2007."

99) Hy-mee Alga-swaree did OK for his first race.

1) No.

LOL. Yeah, I was upset to see the Concorde signed again. Now BMW is really out? That sucks.

I saw that MS ran GP2 slicks, and has asked the FIA and the other teams permission to run the F60 to test his neck muscles, etc. It seemed as if everyone was willing to accept that agreement. I mean, it's not like Ferrari or its drivers have any chance of winning any championships this year.

FOTA - with represents all current teams bar Williams and Force India - has accepted this proposal, as vice president of the group John Howett has explained. "I believe all FOTA teams have agreed to accept their request," he told SpeedTV. "The situation for Felipe is very unfortunate and this is a sporting gesture which we are confident Ferrari will respect." No No No No No No No when will they ever learn.

Yeah, but what benefit will Ferrari really get at this point in the season? Really, I think the return of MS to F1 is going to benefit all the teams because of the excitement to see him back.

Trixi, Ferrari are asking for permission from the FIA, for M$ to drive the 2009 car, supposedly to test and enhance his fitness.

Bearing in mind, no other teams can test run their cars during the race season, do you really think Ferrari will not take the chance to test/evaluate, new components when they do this?????

its sad that they kept F1 together. i think it needed a revolution, and sadly this did not happen. we have the same circus doing the same thing, with the same monkeys pulling all the strings.

secondly, M$ returning to F1 has been a great distraction to the controversies of late. he needs testing to get his fitness back but politics will always prevail...

Well, Williams didn't agree. And compared it to the new Torro Rosso driver, which IMO is different because MS is replacing a hurt driver, as opposed to TR who just hired a new driver.

BTW I couldn't get in here this morning -- maybe just updates or something?

I have to agree with Williams, and it is nothing against F1 or M$. Ferrari have test drivers and replacement drivers that are fit and have experience with the current car. There is no need to put a driver in to replace Massa that has never driven the 2009.

It is a great publicity stunt though, and ultimately it will probably favour everybody as it brings more viewers leading to more money.
