i cant believe no-one here started a topic on it?

i know it's old news now, but what did you think of the movie? has anyone here seen it?

i loved the movie for its visual beauty, story was good but not great... a little too pocahontas for me.

3D is a must!. i tried to go to IMAX whilst up in sydney, but most weekend sessions were sold out.

this thing is going to have a sequel or two. james cameron will probably be given a blank cheque to do more of these....

$2B in movie sales!

Well I suppose it has succeeded in bringing people back to the movie theatre, and take the fight to downloading of movies for a bit. But 3D TVs are already being announced, and so soon we will all be having this experience in our home.

But I do like the creative thinking in trying to innovate. Haven't been to see it yet myself though, so I guess I better get my ass to a movie theatre so as to judge by myself.

The effects are very good, the story line is very weak, could have been written by a five year old, but typically Cameron, is very anti american, I know the Arab feeling out here was very hostile to american's after coming out from the film.

Technically and visually stunning...
The story was written for 6yrs old...

If only Peter Jackson had done his LOTR trilogy using this....

This could very well be the future of cinema: it brought me back to a movie theater, for the first time in a few years....

I actually liked the story. No need for complicated plots to make a very simple point, and one that needs to be made to all audiences. Kudos to Cameron for that.

im with you pabs. the story was basic, but it was a warm story as well. im glad it was free of the modern day habit of adding the final twist at the end of it.

srrh, peter jackson did the special effects for this one, so he had some input Very Happy

I watched it in 2D on Dec 31, looked good, not sure how much of an improvement 3D is but no plans at this point to go see it again due to the shallow story.
