Dimi back to McGreyen
It is almost official, ain't it ?
Team chiefs Martin Whitmarsh and Norbert Haug did not specifically mention the possibility in Singapore, but it was clear what they were talking about. "McLaren has never had the philosophy of specifying a number one," Whitmarsh said. "We want to have the best available drivers in our cars."
However, in 2007 when Hamilton was pitted alongside Fernando Alonso, the team's policy of employing strong drivers - with absolute equality - resulted in tension.
It is also a concern that, as Hamilton and Alonso fought two years ago, they both narrowly lost the world championship - ironically to Raikkonen. "Managing drivers is what it is all about and we are capable of doing that," said Haug.
They are ?
Since when ?

Re: Dimi back to McGreyen
Since they managed to get DC to support Mika for all those years.
I'm happy to see Kimi going back to Mac. Looking for ward to see lewis get someone who will make him have to work if he wants to beat him.

Re: Dimi back to McGreyen
A quote from Kimi from the Dive:
"Asked about Ferrari, he added: "I don't have any bad things to say about them. We always had a good relationship. With Ferrari, I have achieved what I set out to do in winning the title. We had good times and sometimes more difficult times, but that’s part of this business and you just have to get through those moments. We won many championships, one for me, two for the team and I have happy memories.” "
Say what you want about Kimi he has displayed a high measure of maturity when dealing with the public in regards to any team he has been in. He has never slagged anybody or run anybody down. He is a true champion, one of which virtually no controversy can be stuck to him. He is one of the goods guys and I think Jenson will follow suit.

Re: Dimi back to McGreyen
Personally I'm sad to see Kimi Leave Ferrari even though he has underwhelmed most of the time there.
Mclaren of today has nothing to do with the team Bruce started so long ago and even though he's gone Ron Dennis forever tainted the brand.

Re: Dimi back to McGreyen
It is sad. Kimi and Ferrari just don't work together, just too different. It's like splitting up with a boyfriend who's a nice guy, but there's just no spark. I think that what Stefano has said about Kimi and in turn what Kimi has said about Ferrari are very touching statements. Kimi may not be a born Ferrari driver, he may fall asleep in the parking lot before a car launch, he may eat ice cream in the pits and produce some of the dullest interviews on the grid, but I have to admit that when we really needed him he's been there. I hope that he manages to find a place that suits him better.
Not a born Ferrari driver...but still a Ferrari driver.

Sorry, but I am a man, and the gutter is where we tend to reside.

From the dive:
Heidfeld linked with McLaren and Renault
The Abendzeitung newspaper reports that, with Lewis Hamilton pushing hard against the prospect of sharing a team with Nico Rosberg or Kimi Raikkonen next year, Heidfeld has emerged as a candidate.
You know, I kind of suspected as much. I am sure Hammy and Papa Hammy are quite happy with Kovy and are pressuring the bosses quite a bit for the status quo. I think Nick has the tools to keep things interesting. His only downfall would be his qualifying ability which is opposite to Heikkis problem, good qualy poor race pace.
